Praying in the Spirit Using the Word of God for Week#53

Entry#053 The prayer of Reflection, Introspection, Meditation

As we approach a new year, we have learned to pray in the spirit using the word of God. We take time to reflect on God’s goodness and all of the trials He has brought us through. We take time to do introspection to get a clear picture of what is going on inside of us. And we take time to mediate on God’s word, feeding from it like it is our daily bread. We have to constantly work to get our hearts and minds going in a positive direction. Daily there are people, places and things that are seeking to get us off track. We have to be intentional about thinks on lovely heavenly things. Satan is always trying to pervert something beautiful God created into something dirty and disgusting. He will magnify the one thing that is not going right for us so that we cannot see the many things that are in our favor. When we began to see God hand in every situation, we can have more peace in our present and less anxiety about our future. We can view the past with thanksgiving, the present with joy, and the future with hope. Then we can receive the mercy of God; not getting the negatively outcomes we deserve, and the grace of God, receiving the good that we didn’t merit. For God is the source of our love, life and strength. And when we think on these things, we have less chance for Satan to depress and discourage us. Have a Happy New Year. May God bless and keep you as the apple of His eye, as you pray in the Spirit using the Word of God.
