Entry 02 Bryant Pugh
Inspired by the pianist at his local Philadelphia church, Bryant Pugh started playing the piano at age 14. He learned to play using a tape recorder, imitating the church services when he got home. The pastor invested in him with a classical piano teacher who would come to his house once a week. Pugh was in the Martin Luther King High School jazz band and later enrolled in Temple University, where he only attended for 3-4 months before being called to play overseas. Pugh has played for Chris Pringle, Richard Smallwood, Edwin and Tramaine Hawkins, Yolanda Adams and many more. He has served as Minister of Music for Sharon Baptist Church, Musical Director for Richard Smallwood and producer for musical and theatrical productions.
